Are You Eligible to Vote in This Year's Emmy Competition?
National Active members of the Television Academy are the only eligible voters.
PLEASE NOTE: Our rules state that you must have been a National Active member by the end of Nominations-round voting, which was June 24, 2024, in order to vote in the Final round. If you were not a National Active member by June 24, you are not eligible to vote until the 2025 competition. To learn more, click here.
If your type is not National Active or you missed the deadline listed above, you are not eligible to vote in this year's Emmy competition. We understand this might be disappointing, but we are unable to make exceptions to these rules. We do our best to make members aware when they join or reinstate and are sorry if you were unaware. For more information, please consult the Academy's FAQs for Voting Information.
If you have questions about voter eligibility, we have answers.
- The following membership types are not eligible to vote in the Primetime Emmys: Associate, Los Angeles Area, Faculty, Student or those who became National Active members of the Academy after June 24, 2024.
- If you are unsure of your membership status, log in to your Member Dashboard. Your status will be shown under MEMBER TYPE (see illustration).
- If you have questions about a change to your MEMBER TYPE, log in to your Member Dashboard. From the left side, select PAYMENT INFORMATION. Click on the eye icon under Actions (on the right side) to see your most recent invoices. These may remind you that you joined or renewed at the Associate level and paid dues of $125 rather than the Active member dues of $200.
