Larry Drake was an actor best known for his role on the popular NBC drama L.A. Law. The series ran from 1986 to 1994 and followed the staff of the fictional Los Angeles law firm McKenzie, Brackman, Chaney and Kuzak. Drake played the developmentally disabled office clerk Benny Stulwicz for 144 episodes from 1987 through the end of the series. He reprised the role once more in 2002, for the reunion movie, L.A. Law: The Movie.
Drake won two consecutive Emmy Awards for the role, in 1988 and 1989, in the category of best supporting actor in a drama series. He was nominated for the role once more in 1990, and was nominated three times for a Golden Globe.
Additionally, Drake appeared in a variety of other television shows, including parts on the series Hardcastle and McCormick, Hunter, Tales from the Crypt, The Outer Limits, The Naked Truth, Fantasy Island, Star Trek: Voyager, Stargate SG-1, Six Feet Under, Crossing Jordan, 7th Heaven and Boston Legal.

He also had a recurring role as Dr. Walter Attwood on the sci-fi series Prey, and leant his voice to a variety of animated programming including The Legend of Prince Valiant, Superman, Batman Beyond, Justice League, What’s New, Scooby-Doo? and Johnny Bravo.
He appeared in several films as well, including roles in Battle Creek Brawl, starring Jackie Chan; The Karate Kid; Darkman, starring Liam Neeson and Frances McDormand; Bean, starring Rowan Atkinson; Overnight Delivery, with Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon; American Pie 2, and Desert Heat with Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Drake died March 17, 2016, in Los Angeles. He was 66.
