Peter Sumner
Peter Sumner was an Australian-born performer best known for his role in the original Star Wars. Sumner played Lieutenant Pol Treidum, a security officer on the Death Star, in the 1977 classic film.
Sumner also appeared in Tony Richardson’s 1970 film Ned Kelly, starring Mick Jagger.
Additionally, Sumner had parts in the Australian television series Rake, Blue Heelers, Spellbinder, Neighbours, Five Mile Creek and The Evil Touch, all of which also aired in the U.S., as well as the miniseries Moby Dick, starring Patrick Stewart.
Sumner died November 22, 2016, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He was 74.
