Lyle Waggoner was an American actor.

Waggoner is best known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show and for his role on the original Wonder Woman television series.

He attended Washington University in St. Louis and joined the United States Army before relocating to Hollywood. Waggoner’s first acting roles were in Gunsmoke, Lost in Space, and Marcus Welby, MD.

He also made a number guest appearances on other television series such as: The War at Home, That 70’s Show, The Love Boat, Cybill, Murder, She Wrote, The Golden Girls, Simon & Simon, Hardcastle & McCormick, Happy Days, Fantasy Island, Mork & Mindy, and Charlie’s Angels.

In 1979, Waggoner launched Star Waggons, renting motor homes for actors, make-up artists, and production, for use in film and television.

Waggoner died March 17, 2020, in Westlake Village, California. He was 84.
