John Hora
John Hora was an American cinematographer.
He is best known for collaborating with director Joe Dante on a number of films including The Howling (1981), Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983), Gremlins (1984), Explorers (1985), The Burbs (1989), Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990), and Matinee (1993).
A graduate of USC Film School, Hora lensed Honey, I Blew Up the Kid (1992), Loverboy (1989), The Jogger (1988), and the "Smooth Criminal" segment of Moonwalker (1988), for which he also captured the Michael Jackson music video.

In television, he served as cinematographer on the ABC Afterschool Specials episode "Pssst! Hammerman's After You!" and the pilot of Eerie, Indiana.
Hora died February 9, 2021, in Los Angeles, California. He was 80.
