John Heyman
John Heyman was a German-born and British-raised producer and agent best known for founding the British agency International Artists and Island World Productions.
His agency represented clients including Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Michael Caine, Richard Harris, Shirley Bassey and Burt Bacharach.
He produced such films as Hamlet, Lola, A Passage to India, The Go-Between, Secret Ceremony, A Doll’s House, The Jesus Film, D.A.R.Y.L. and 1968’s Boom!, starring Taylor and Burton.
Additionally, Heyman had a part in financing the films Chinatown, The Odessa File, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Marathon Man, Reds, Black Rain, Awakenings and Edward Scissorhands.
