Joan Weldon
Joan Weldon was an American actress and singer.
Perhaps best known for playing Dr. Patricia Medford in the essential science fiction film Them! (1954), Weldon sang in the San Francisco Grand Opera Company and the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera before becoming a contract player at Warner Bros.
She first appeared on screen in the film The System (1953) and would go on to act in a number of pictures, including the westerns: The Stranger Wore a Gun (1953), Riding Shotgun (1954), The Command (1954), Gunsight Ridge (1957), and Day of the Badman (1958).

In television, Weldon made multiple appearances in the series Lux Video Theater and guest starred in programs including The Millionaire, Cheyenne, Perry Mason, Have Gun – Will Travel, Colt .45, and Maverick.
After a decade of working in film and television, Weldon resumed her career as a singer, traveling with road company theater productions and appearing on Broadway and at Lincoln Center.
Weldon died February 11, 2021, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was 90.
