Gil Schwartz
Gil Schwartz was an American television executive and author.
For over 20 years, Schwartz was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of the CBS Corporation, serving as top advisor to many of CBS's senior executives.
In addition to his senior executive role at CBS, Schwartz moonlighted for many years as a columnist and author, under the pen name Stanley Bing. Bing's commentary first appeared in Esquire. He then went to Fortune, where he wrote a back-page column for more than 20 years. Bing would eventually write a total of 13 business books.

Schwartz retired November 2018, following nearly 40 years at CBS, Viacom and Westinghouse Broadcasting.
Schwartz died May 2, 2020, in Santa Monica, California. He was 68.
