Giancarlo Esposito received widespread acclaim for his chilling performance as taciturn drug kingpin “Gustavo 'Gus' Fring” in AMC’s Primetime Emmy-winning drama Breaking Bad. He made his Broadway debut in 1966, at age eight, with a role in the play Maggie Flynn. His early feature film roles included The Cotton Club and Desperately Seeking Susan. He has also worked with director Spike Lee in the films Do the Right Thing, Mo’ Better Blues, School Daze and Malcolm X. Notable television series included Miami Vice, New York Undercover, Bakersfield P.D., Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order, The Street and many others.
