David M. Handelman

David Handelman was a print journalist-turned-TV writer and producer who wrote for shows on CBS, NBC, ABC, HBO, the CW, & CNN. His TV career comprised an unusual combination of drama, comedy, and variety categories. David served as a writer on series including Nashville, The West Wing, One Tree Hill, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Newsroom and Good Afternoon America. Handelman produced episodes of In the Arena, Rogue and Smerconish.

 In his past life, he was a staff writer at Rolling Stone, covering everything from the Beastie Boys to Sam Kinison to folk artist Howard Finster to the AIDS activists ACT UP, and editing two "HOT" issues and two issues devoted to comedy. He then was the arts editor and writer for Vogue, and wrote for dozens of publications including the New York Times, New York magazine, GQ, Details, Premiere, and Spy.
