David Landsberg was an American actor, writer, producer and director.

Landsberg graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in business and marketing and soon began a short-lived career in advertising, before deciding to pursue an acting career.

His acting credits for television include roles on episodes of Rhoda, The Love Boat, Family, Eight is Enough, Hart to Hart, and The John Larroquette Show.

Landsberg had a recurring role as Recruit Skolnick on the NBC sitcom C.P.O. Sharkey, which starred Don Rickles.

Film appearances include Love at First Bite (with George Hamilton), Skatetown, U.S.A. (with Patrick Swayze), The Jerk (with Steve Martin), and Shoot the Moon (with Albert Finney and Diane Keaton).

As a writer/producer, Landsberg worked on episodes of Fantasy Island, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Blossom, Herman’s Head, and Cosby.

Landsberg died August 5, 2018, in Los Angeles, California. He was 73.
