Chester Bennington was a singer and musician best known for being the frontman of the rock band Linkin Park. He was also the lead singer for Dead by Sunrise and fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015.
Linkin Park blended nu metal, rock and rap, and was one of the most popular bands to emerge in the early 2000s. The band's debut album Hybrid Theory sold more than 10 million copies since its release in 2000.
Their music was used frequently in movies and on television series, including the films S.W.A.T., Miami Vice, Transformers, Twilight and Kung Fu Panda 2, and the shows Batman Beyond, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Smallville.
