Actress-musician Allison Williams stars as “Marnie Michaels” on HBO series Girls. Williams first caught the attention of series executive producer Judd Apatow with a YouTube performance of her 2010 mashup of "Nature Boy" and RJD2's "A Beautiful Mine," which became the theme song for AMC’s Mad Men.
Williams, who has also appeared on The Mindy Project, wrote a collection of Funny or Die sketches in 2011, in which she portrayed British royal newlywed Kate Middleton.
The Yale graduate is the daughter of NBC Nightly news anchor Brian Williams.
