Emmys Media Logistics

Below please find information regarding your coverage of the 75th Emmy® Awards airing live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, Jan. 15, (8:0011:00 pm ET/5:00-8:00 pm PT) on FOX.

We strongly urge you to read this memo in its entirety, so you have a clear understanding of the media areas and operations.

PRESS CREDENTIALS:

CREDENTIAL PICK-UP: The Emmy Credentialing Office will be located at the JW Marriott, Georgia Room. From the lobby, take the escalator to the 3rd floor. Turn right and proceed to credentialling on your left.

Every individual must pick up their own credential at the JW Marriott. There will be no exceptions. You will need a valid picture ID, driver's license or passport for verification when picking up your credential.

Day Passes will be issued beginning Saturday, Jan. 13. Day Passes are for preapproved outlets with crews that need access to the red carpet and/or media center for setup on Saturday, Jan. 13, and Sunday, Jan. 14. Day Passes are only required for crew members who don't have a show day Emmy credential.

CREDENTIAL HOURS:
Thursday 1/11: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday 1/12: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday 1/13: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday 1/14: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

*The credential office will not be open on show day 1/15. 

PARKING FOR CREDENTIAL PICK UP:

Park in the West Garage (Lot W), Gate E & F (off West Road). Pull a ticket at the entrance which will be validated in the credential office for 20-minute free parking. Proceed to credentialling office at JW Marriott.

IMPORTANT: Credentials may NOT be photographed, duplicated or posted online (including ALL social media channels such as Facebook, X, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) If this occurs, your credential WILL be revoked. 

LOAD IN AND PARKING

If your outlet has a Red Carpet Platform or Winners Walk position, please refer to Freddie Kirk for your pre-scheduled load in time slot (323) 489-9467 freddie@passthesalt.com.

If your outlet has a Ground Position or Media Center Seated Position, please refer to the general timeline of Red Carpet & Media Center hours for load in:

Red Carpet Ground Positions:
Set-up: Sunday, January 14th 9:00 am – 7:00pm
Set-up: Monday, January 15th: after the security sweep, appx 9:00am
Show: Must be show-ready and all crew in position by 1:00pm
Load-out: 5:15pm-7:30pm

Media Center (Photo or Digital Workroom):
Set-up: Saturday, Jan 13th 8:00am – 7:00pm
Set-up: Sunday, Jan 14th 8:00am – 10:00pm
Set-up: Monday, January 15th: after the security sweep, appx 9:00am
Load-out: 9:00pm-11:00pm

Media Center (General Press):
Set-up: Sunday, Jan 14th 8:00am – 8:00pm
Set-up: Monday, January 15th: after the security sweep, appx 9:00am
Load-out: 9:00pm – 11:00pm

DAY OF SHOW INFORMATION

DRESS CODE: The Red Carpet will be covered. Dress is Formal. No Exceptions. Black tie or dark suit and tie for men; cocktail dress, long gown or dressy pantsuit for women. Working crews may remove their jackets and wear black slacks and white collared shirts. No shorts, jeans, polo shirts, T-shirts, tennis shoes, etc. 

JAN. 15 EVENT TIMELINE:

*Open time is pending security sweep

  • 9:00 a.m.: Media Center and Digital Work Room Open
  • 9:00 a.m.: Carpet Opens for Load-in
  • 1:30 p.m.: ALL MEDIA MUST BE IN FIXED POSITIONS
  • 2:00 p.m.: Red Carpet Opens/Arrivals Begin
  • 4:30 p.m.: Red Carpet Closes
  • 5:00 p.m.: Program Begins
  • 8:00 p.m.: Program Ends (approx.)
  • 11:00 p.m.: Media Center and Digital Work Rooms Close

PARKING:

A Parking Dash Pass will be required for admission. All press will park at the Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall. Your Parking Pass will be issued with your credential. A location map is printed on the back.

Please allow ample time for parking and check-in.

Access to the Media Center:
Once parked, please proceed to West Garage Lobby for access to The Media Center via the Crew & Media Entrance. Hand carts only, be prepared for a security check.

Access to the Red Carpet:
Once parked, please proceed to Chick Hearn Court at Georgia for access to the Red Carpet. You will walk-up the fire lane on Chick Hearn to access the Carpet until 1pm.

Alternatively, you can access the Red Carpet during all opening times near Smashburger in Peacock Place. (This entrance allows in/out for trips to Hotels, Starbucks, restaurants, runners, etc.) After 1:00 p.m., all media must enter at this location. 

The Television Academy is committed to providing an accessible experience for all attendees. If you require special assistance upon arrival, please let us know at eventassist@televisionacademy.com.

RED CARPET:

Your position will be marked prior to arrival. All marked spots will be located on Peacock Place directly in front of the theater with talent arriving on Figuroa and proceeding down Chick Hearn Court.

All press may load in beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, and must be ready and in assigned fixed positions by 1:30 p.m. The carpet will close to all talent at 4:30 p.m. You must complete all interviews by 4:40 p.m.

You may remain on the carpet for one hour after it closes to complete your coverage. The carpet will be cleared at 5:40 p.m. 

COVERAGE:

There is absolutely NO roaming on the Red Carpet. All crew members, including correspondents, must conduct interviews from their marked positions—no interviews on the talent side of the Red Carpet may occur. While breakwhitelight and FOX staff will be on the carpet to support each area, it is the responsibility of each outlet to reach out to personal/network/studio publicists regarding interviews with their talent, PRIOR to Monday, Jan. 15. 

  • There can be no affixing of lights, cameras or microphones to the structure without prior permission.
  • No drones or selfie sticks will be permitted.
  • No co-sponsorship is allowed. Branding and signage must be for your outlet only.
  • No food or alcohol is permitted on the Red Carpet or in the Press Center.
  • No golf carts will be available or allowed for transporting staff to the red carpet.

MEDIA CENTER:

The Media Center will be located in the Gold Ballroom at the JW Marriott

A Digital Workroom will be located in Plaza I-III on the 3rd floor of the JW Marriott Hotel for crews providing technical support for outlets on the Red Carpet. By reservation only, seats will be assigned in this space.

Emmy Winners will be escorted to the Media Center for trophy pick up, an Emmy photo op and interviews in the General Press Room. General press will also serve as a virtual media experience for media from around the globe.

The Media Center (Photo or Digital Workroom) will be open for load-in, testing of feeds, etc., during the following times. Spots will be marked prior to opening: 

  • Saturday Jan. 13:      8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 14:       8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

The Media Center (General Press Room) will be open for load-in, testing:

  • Sunday, Jan. 14th 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Both will open Monday, January 15th: after the security sweep, appx 9:00am

Note: The Digital Workroom will remain open until 11 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15

PHOTO ROOM PHOTOGRAPHERS: We will be lighting the stage for cameras in the General Photo Room. Only camera-mounted flashes will be allowed.

If you ordered internet access or hard phone lines, you will be billed separately and directly by Encore. Your lines will be marked with your position.

Load-out for the Media Center cannot begin before 10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, and must be completed by midnight

WI-FI:
Basic Wi-Fi will be provided in the Media Center, and a password will be posted.

ON-SITE POOL FEEDS AND OFF-SITE TELCO LOOPS
FOX and the Television Academy are providing on-site pool feeds for the 75th Emmy Awards. Pool feeds will be available in a pool feed tent within the Red Carpet support zone in Peacock Place as well as the Truck Farm/Event Deck and in the Media Center's General Press Room. SDI plug-in with embedded audio. 1080i 

Off-site pool feeds and Telco Loops are available via The LA Switch including Fashion Cams and Interviews with Emmy Winners.
