Roberts recently portrayed Dr. Emma Brookner in the HBO television movie The Normal Heart. The film, which was directed by Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story), follows the journey of gay activist Ned Weeks (played by Mark Ruffalo) as he strives to raise awareness of HIV/Aids during the early 1980's.
