Remembering Jonathan Winters

Acclaimed comedian Jonathan Winters died on April 11 at his home near Santa Barbara, California. The Dayton, Ohio, native is widely lauded for his memorable turns on The Tonight Show and much more.

Montecito, California - Beloved comedian and Primetime Emmy® winner Jonathan Winters died last night at the age of 87 of natural causes at his home near Santa Barbara, California.

Winters is widely remembered for his numerous appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson over the years, his own program, The Jonathan Winters Show, and the memorable characters he created, such as “Maude Frickert,”“Elwood P. Suggins,” and “King Kwasi.”
