Richard Roat was an American television, film, and stage actor.
During his 45 year career as a television actor, Roat appeared in episodes of over 100 series, ranging from Car 54, Where Are You?, Naked City, and The Fugitive to Seinfeld, Friends, and 24 (his last credited television appearance).
Roat also performed on Broadway, at The Public Theatre in Central Park, The Huntington Hartford Theatre in Los Angeles, and the Pasadena Playhouse.
In addition to his distinguished career as an actor, Roat had a successful practice as an entertainment tax preparer for over 50 years.
