Ernie F. Orsatti was an American actor, stuntman, and stunt coordinator.
Born into a Hollywood family, Orsatti, nicknamed "The Legend," was perhaps best known for taking a 30' fall through a glass skylight in the disaster film The Poseidon Adventure (1972).
He began his career as an actor appearing in The Green Berets (1968), The Mechanic (1972), and The Towering Inferno (1974) before turning to stunts full time.

Bilko (1996), Primal Fear (1996), To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday (1996), Alien: Resurrection (1997), Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), American History X (1998), Pleasantville (1998), Joe Dirt (2001), and Cheaper by the Dozen (2003).
His television work includes Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Picket Fences, NYPD Blue, Profiler, Charmed, The Practice, Carnivàle, The Closer, Nip/Tuck, Entourage, and Big Love.
Orsatti died September 12, 2020, in La Quinta, California. He was 80.
