Margot Kidder was a Canadian-American actress and activist.
Kidder began her career in the 1960s appearing in low-budget Canadian films and television series, before landing a lead role in Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx (1970), starring Gene Wilder.
Her early U.S. television appearances include Mod Squad, Nichols (with James Garner), Banacek, Harry O, Barnaby Jones, Baretta, and Switch.
Kidder rose to fame in 1978 for her role as Lois Lane in the Superman film series, opposite Christopher Reeve.

Her last credited film appearance was in the 2017 crime drama The Neighborhood.
Kidder died May 13, 2018, in Livingston, Montana. She was 69.
