Maxine Stuart, Actress Whose Career Spanned 50 Years

Maxine Stuart, a familiar face on television for five decades, died June 6, 2013, in Beverly Hills, California. She was 94.
Stuart, who began her career on the New York stage, moved to California in the 1950s, and began working in television.
She remained busy in the medium until the early 2000, a period during which she appeared in dozens of popular series, including Lux Video Theatre, Robert Montgomery Presents, The Philco-Goodyear Television Playhouse, Playhouse 90, Bachelor Father, Wanted: Dead or Alive, The Edge of Night, Perry Mason, Dr. Kildare, The Donna Reed Show, That Girl, Peyton Place, The FBI, Room 222, Love, American Style, The Partridge Family, The Bob Newhart Show, Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Murphy Brown, The Young and the Restless, NYPD Blue, Family Law and Judging Amy.
Stuart received an Emmy nomination in 1989 for a guest role as a piano teacher on The Wonder Years.
