He was an executive producer on television series including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Martin, The Good News and Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. He served as a writer on episodes of Frank's Place, American Playhouse, Tall Tales & Legends and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Williams appeared in series including American Playhouse, Search for Tomorrow, Miami Vice and Equal Justice. He can also be seen in films including "Dressed to Kill," "A Rage in Harlem" and "Blood Simple."
