Howard Epstein was a picture editor best known for his Emmy-nominated work on the 1960s anthology series Alcoa Premiere, hosted by Fred Astaire.

Epstein also contributed to the series M Squad, Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre, The Virginian, Night Gallery, Ironside, The Six Million Dollar Man, Emergency! and The Dukes of Hazzard.

He earned his first credit on the 1956 film Around the World in 80 Days, starring David Niven and Shirley MacLaine. Prior to that, he contributed as an assistant editor on the 1955 musical Oklahoma!

His other credits included the feature films The Littlest Hobo and Counterpoint, as well as the made-for-television movies The Manhunter, The Greatest Gift and Telethon.

Epstein died July 24, 2016, in Thousand Oaks, California. He was 99.
