Audrey Totter was an actress known for playing femme fatales in such 1940s' films as Lady in the Lake, and went on to appear in numerous television series.

A native of Joliet, Illinois, Totter signed a contract of MGM in 1944. Two years later she had a small part in the noir thriller The Postman Always Rings Twice, and went on to play a series of tough-talking blondes.

She began working in television in the 1950s with roles in such series as Four Star Playhouse, Fireside Theatre and Schlitz Playhouse. In the years that followed her credits included The Red Skelton Hour, Hawaiian Eye, The Loretta Young Show, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Route 66, Rawhide, Perry Mason, Bonanza, Ironside, Run for Your Life, Hawaii Five-O, Police Story and Murder, She Wrote.

In addition, she had regular roles in Cimarron City, Our Man Higgins, Dr. Kildare and Medical Center.

Totter died on December 12, 2013, in Los Angeles, California. She was 95.
