Loreen Arbus Focus On Disability Scholarship Winner Announced
Congratulations to Chad Veal and Brendan Wallace, whose student project "20 Over" has won the Loreen Arbus Focus on Disability Scholarship at the 41st College Television Awards.
The story: Star athlete Noah Malone was only in middle school when he began developing a rare eye disease that eventually left Noah legally blind. Noah had to learn a new way of life while still keeping up as a son, brother, classmate, and teammate. Amidst these difficult circumstances, Noah has only gone uphill as he pursues greater achievements and continues to break down the barriers in his way.
Loreen Arbus is a two-time Emmy nominee who holds the trailblazing distinction of being the first woman to head programming for a U.S. network, both at Showtime and Cable Health Network/Lifetime, and is a leading advocate for people with disabilities. This is the 11th year for this award, provided by the Loreen Arbus Foundation, which has established and funds scholarships that both enhance and elevate social consciousness around key societal issues.
The 41st College Television Awards ceremony will take place on March 26, 2022. Click here to learn more about this powerful student project.
