76th Los Angeles Area Emmy Winners Announced

The 76th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards were presented tonight from the Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, hosted by award-winning journalist Michaela Pereira.

This year's awards ceremony, produced by Bob Bain and Bob Bain Productions, honored locally produced programs in the categories of Live and Breaking News Coverage, Crime and Social Issues, Culture and History, the Arts, Health and Science, Human Interest, Music, Sports, and the Environment.

Veteran entertainment journalist Sam Rubin was the posthumous recipient of the 76th Los Angeles Area Emmy Governors Award, recognizing his legacy of more than three decades of entertainment news reporting for KTLA.

Christie Lyn Lugo Leigh and Stephanie Hampton are the Los Angeles Area Governors.
