Nicole Byer to Host Creative Arts Emmys

The Television Academy today announced presenters for the 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, hosted over five nights beginning Monday, Sept. 14, through Saturday, Sept. 19.

Nicole Byer will host all five nights of Creative Arts ceremonies, including the two-hour FXX broadcast on Sept. 19. The actress, comedian, writer, author and podcaster is the host of Netflix's hit reality competition baking series, the twice Emmy-nominated Nailed It!. Fans can hear Nicole on five different podcasts, including Why Won't You Date Me? and Best Friends. Byer made history this season by becoming the first Black woman ever to be nominated in the category of Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program. She is also known for her standout appearances on MTV's hit show Girl Code and recently released her book #VERYFAT #VERYBRAVE: The Fat Girl's Guide to Being #Brave and Not a Dejected, Melancholy, Down-in-the-Dumps Weeping Fat Girl in a Bikini.

The 2020 Creative Arts presenters reflect the dynamic television landscape and represent some of television's top comedies, dramas, variety and reality television programs.

The 2020 Creative Arts Emmy Awards will stream on Emmys.com for four consecutive nights beginning Monday, Sept. 14, through Thursday, Sept. 17, at 8:00 p.m. EDT/5:00 p.m. PDT with a fifth broadcast ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 8:00 p.m. EDT/5:00 p.m. PDT on FXX. Winners' names are known only by Ernst & Young LLP until they are revealed to the director of the Emmy ceremony as the show is airing. All five shows will be produced by Bob Bain Productions.
