Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Presents the 57th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards Honoring the Best in Local Television on August 27th

Legendary Game Show Host Bob Eubanks to Receive Governors Award

KCAL to Air Show as a One-Hour Special on September 10th


North Hollywood, CA, August 23, 2005The 57th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, honoring excellence in locally produced entertainment, news, public affairs, sports and children's programming, will take place on Saturday, August 27 at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre at 5 p.m. The show will air as a one-hour special on September 10 on KCAL.

This year's show will be hosted by film and television actors Mariette Hartley (Ride the High Country, Law & Order: SVU) and Fred Willard (Everybody Loves Raymond).

Presenters at this year's show include: Maria Conchita Alonso (Ventaneando), James Avery (The Closer), Oswald Borraez (Noticias Univision 34), Bill Brochtrup (NYPD Blue), Barbara Eden (I Dream of Jeannie), Hector Elizondo (The Celestine Prophecy), Hunter Ellis (Survivor: Marquesas), Lou Ferrigno (King of Queens), Lisa Foiles (All That), Ana Garcia (KNBC), Leeza Gibbons (Leeza), Erin Gray (Silver Spoons), Harold Greene (KCBS), Bruce Hensel, M.D. (KNBC), Lisa Joyner (KCBS), Steven Anthony Lawrence (Rebound), Bobby Lee (MADtv), Cesar Millan  (The Dog Whisperer), Phillip Palmer (KABC), Nicole Parker (MADtv), Melissa Rivers (TV Guide Channel), Jacklyn Zemen (General Hospital) and Constance Zimmer (Entourage).

Leeza Gibbons will present legendary game show host Bob Eubanks with the prestigious Governors Award that honors a lifetime of broadcasting achievement in the Los Angeles market.

Icon Entertainment, headed by Jeff Androsky and Carol Sherman, will again produce the show with Suzan Jorgensen-Torgerson as Executive Producer.
