Reinhold Weege, Prolific Comedy Writer-Producer and Creator of Night Court

Reinhold Weege, a comedy writer and producer best known as the creator of Night Court, the NBC comedy that aired from 1984-1992 and earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards and 31 nominations, died December 1, 2012, in La Jolla, California. He was 62.
According to news reports, he died of natural causes.
Weege, who wrote for M*A*S*H, FIsh and Barney Miller before creating Night Court, was born December 23, 1949, in Chicago.
He worked as a newspaper reporter in suburban Illinois before trying his hand in Hollywood.
