Since the brutal murder of George Floyd, our industry has been called upon to join the fight against systemic racism, police brutality and social injustice.
To spark necessary change within our industry, we are turning our platform over to you and invite you to share your own story. Whether you have directly experienced the above, or are actively constructing or facilitating a platform to dismantle the injustices particular to Black lives, we welcome your original words, your concerns and perspectives. How can our membership increase our industry's understanding and acknowledgment of systemic racism? What action(s) must be taken to reconstruct our attitudes and institutions? How do we hold those in positions of power accountable?
Please submit an original 1-2 minute video that may be featured on our website or across our social media platforms. Once we receive your video, we will contact you for permission to use it.
How do I submit a video?
Black lives and voices matter.
We want to use our platform to amplify your voice. We invite you to share your story.
We welcome your words, perspective, and thoughts on the role and responsibility of our membership in understanding systemic racism, racial injustice, and the action that must be taken to create lasting change within our attitudes and institutions.
How to submit a video:
Your video may be shot on a phone or mobile device, or with professional equipment. See below for links to the required technical/production specifications.
We also ask that:
- Your video is 1 - 2 minutes in length. No more than 2 minutes.
- Your video is a simple, individual testimonial.
- Should you wish or feel it necessary that your video includes another person or persons, music, quotations or written material from another source, visual art or graphic elements created by another person, that you secure all clearances, licenses needed, and that you assume all responsibility for clearing all third-parties' rights and will indemnify us against any claim for payments. You will also need to furnish the Television Academy with copies of clearances with your video (no music, visible photos, art or logos can be used unless they have been cleared/licensed )
- The submission of your video indicates you give consent to our use of it (in whole or in part) on the Television Academy website, either as an individual video or as part of a produced collection of videos, with no restrictions or payments.

NOTE: By submitting your video, you agree that the Television Academy has the right to use it (in whole or in part) on the website and across social platforms. The Academy reserves the right to review the submitted video, and is not obligated to use or post all submissions.
