Steve Dillon was a comic book artist best known for helping to create the AMC series Preacher. Dillon worked on the comic book series of the same name (written by Warren Ellis), beginning in 1995. The books ran for 66 issues, ending in 2000.

Dillon also served as a co-executive producer on the series.

Additionally, the artist worked on Hellblazer and The Punisher, a character that recently appeared on Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix, and is set to have his own spin-off.

Dillon died October 22, 2016, in New York. He was 54.
