Richard Lindheim was an American television executive, producer, and writer.

He is perhaps most recognized as a co-creator, writer, and producer on the CBS television series The Equalizer, starring Edward Woodward. Lindheim was also an executive producer on Sony's film adaptation, The Equalizer (2014) and its sequel, The Equalizer 2 (2018), both starring Denzel Washington, as well as the 2021 television series reboot, starring Queen Latifah. He wrote and co-produced two other series: The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo and B.J. and the Bear.

In the 1990s, he focused his interest on the emerging digital technology and helped establish Paramount Digital Entertainment. Lindheim also served as executive director of the Institute for Creative Technologies at USC, mentoring countless industry up-and-comers.

Lindheim died January 18, 2021. He was 81.
