Peggy Lipton
Peggy Lipton was an American actress.
Lipton began modeling at age 15. At age 19, she made her television debut on the sitcom The John Forsythe Show, and went on to make appearances on Bewitched, Mr. Novak, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Virginian, and The Magical World of Disney.
In 1968, Lipton landed her most famous role as flower child and crime fighter Julie Barnes on ABC’s Mod Squad. Lipton received four Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award for her performance.

After Mod Squad ended its five-year run in 1973, with the exception of a 1979 made-for-TV reunion film, The Return of Mod Squad, Lipton retired from acting until she appeared in David Lynch’s 1990-91 cult-hit series Twin Peaks.
Although she was best known for her television work, Ms. Lipton appeared in more than a dozen feature films, including The Postman (with Kevin Costner), When in Rome (with Kristen Bell), and A Dog’s Purpose (with Dennis Quaid).
Her final television appearances include episodes of the 2017 reboot of Twin Peaks, and two episodes of Angie Tribeca, playing the mother of the character played by her real-life daughter, Rashida Jones.
Lipton died May 11, 2019 in Los Angeles, California. She was 72.
