Michelle Pfeiffer is an American actress, singer and producer. She began her acting career in 1978 and had her first starring film role in Grease 2 (1982), before receiving mainstream attention for her breakout performance in Scarface (1983). Her greatest commercial successes include Batman Returns (1992), Dangerous Minds (1995), What Lies Beneath (2000) and Hairspray (2007).
In 2017, she received her first Emmy Award nomination (in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie) for her performance in The Wizard of Lies (2017) portraying Ruth Madoff.
