Marc Wilmore was an American writer, producer, and actor.

After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona, Wilmore launched his career as a comedy writer in the early 1990s on the Fox sketch show In Living Color. For his work on the show, he earned a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series.

After In Living Color, Wilmore went on to work on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as well as the Fox animated series The PJs (created by Eddie Murphy and Wilmore’s brother, comedian/writer/producer Larry Wilmore).

For his work as an executive producer on The Simpsons, Wilmore received nine Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Animated Program, winning once.

Most recently, Wilmore worked as a writer and executive producer on the Netflix animated series F Is for Family, for which he also provided his voice talent.

Wilmore died January 30, 2021. He was 57.
