Kevin Dobson was an American actor.

A student of acting coach Sandy Meisner, Dobson is perhaps best known for his roles as Detective Bobby Crocker, Telly Savalas' eager partner on Kojak, and as Mack MacKenzie, Michele Lee's husband on the primetime soap opera Knots Landing.

He also had recurring roles in The Doctors, Shannon, F/X: The Series, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, and House of Lies; he guest starred in a number of series including Mod Squad, Emergency!, Police Story, Captain Kangaroo, Nash Bridges, and Cold Case; and he starred in nearly three dozen TV movies throughout his career.

In 1983, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in Children's Programming for his work on CBS Afternoon Playhouse.

Dobson died September 6, 2020, in Stockton, California. He was 77.
