Kelly Asbury
Kelly Asbury was an American film director and screenwriter.
A student of animation at California Institute of the Arts, Asbury began his career in visual development, contributing to films such as The Little Mermaid (1989), The Rescuers Down Under (1990), Beauty and the Beast (1991), and The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993).
Perhaps best known for directing the animated films Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002) and Shrek 2 (2004), he also directed and wrote Gnomeo & Juliet (2011), and was a writer on Beauty and the Beast.

Asbury died June 26, 2020, in Encino, California. He was 60.
