Gregory Sierra was an American actor.

He is best known for his television roles as Det. Sgt. Miguel Amenguale on Barney Miller and Julio Fuentes on Sanford and Son.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Sierra accompanied a friend to an acting school audition in Manhattan and, after giving an improvised performance, Sierra gained admission to the school. His career began on stage, touring with the National Shakespeare Company before landing his first television role in 1969 on the series It Takes a Thief.

Sierra would go on to have recurring roles in The Flying Nun, A.E.S. Hudson Street, Soap, Hill Street Blues, Zorro and Son, Miami Vice, Growing Pains, and Murder, She Wrote. He also guest starred in a number of programs including Mission: Impossible, The Waltons, Kung Fu, All in the Family, Columbo, Cagney & Lacey, MacGyver, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The X-Files, and Ellen.

On the big screen he appeared in Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), Papillon (1973), The Towering Inferno (1974), The Trouble with Spies (1987), and HotShots! Part Deux (1993).

Sierra died January 4, 2021, in Laguna Woods, California. He was 83.
