Claire Labine was a writer and producer best known for creating the daytime drama Ryan’s Hope, which ran for thirteen seasons on ABC.
Labine also wrote episodes of Where the Heart Is, Love of Life, Guiding Light, General Hospital and One Life to Live. Additionally, she penned the television movies The Bride in Black, She Woke Up, Star and Ivana Trump’s For Love Alone.
She also served as an executive producer on the 1981 drama Lovespell, starring Richard Burton and Kate Mulgrew as a couple who fall in love during medieval times.
Labine died November 11, 2016, in Somers, Connecticut. She was 82.
