Burt Nodella was a producer best known for his Emmy Award-winning work on the 1960s series Get Smart. The action-comedy ran for five seasons and starred Don Adams as Maxwell Smart, a bumbling secret agent. Nodella served as a producer from 1967 to 1969 and reunited with the cast for the 1989 television movie Get Smart, Again! He also penned two episodes of the series and appeared in two episodes, winning his Emmys back to back, for producing in 1968 and 1969.

Additionally, he contributed to the series Tate, The Tim Conway Show and CBS Summer Playhouse, as well as the telefilms The Phantom of Hollywood, starring Jack Cassidy; Winter Kill, starring Andy Griffith; The Hostage Tower, with Peter Fonda and Billy Dee Williams; and Pope John Paul II, with Albert Finney.

Nodella also appeared in a small role on the series Mission: Impossible, he contributed as a writer on the series The Bold Ones: The New Doctors, and he served as a production executive on the 1980 film The Jazz Singer, starring Laurence Olivier and Neil Diamond.

Prior to his career in the entertainment industry, Nodella served in the Army under General George S. Patton, survived conflicts at Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge, and helped liberate the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.

From 1968 to 1979, he lived with Barbara Feldon, who played the role of Agent 99 on Get Smart.

Nodella died February 23, 2016. He was 91.
