Miriam Marx Allen
Miriam Marx Allen was a writer and the eldest daughter of famed comedian and performer Groucho Marx.
In 1992, Allen published Love, Groucho: Letters From Groucho Marx to His Daughter Miriam, a collection of her father's letters sent from 1938 through 1967.
The following year, Allen was featured on a three-part BBC radio program, Groucho Was My Father. She also appeared in several documentaries about her dad through the years, including the telefilms The One, the Only... Groucho and The Unknown Marx Brothers.
Additionally, Allen worked on his 1950s quiz show, You Bet Your Life, which featured competitive questions and humorous conversation and was hosted by the comedian.
Allen died June 29, 2017, in Capistrano Beach, California. She was 90.
