Phillip W. Palmer, CAS, Sound
Phillip Palmer was born in Dallas, TX and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Film and Television Production. Starting his sound career in music and touring he migrated early to production sound recording for Television and Motion Pictures. After many years as a boom operator and utility sound technician, he began his mixing career in 1999. With more than 30 years of experience his projects include: Better Call Saul, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story, The Old Man, Glee, American Horror Story, Jericho, Medium and many other productions.
In 2010 he garnered an Emmy for his work on Glee and has been honored with nine Emmy nominations, ten CAS award nominations, and numerous AMPS, TEC and other industry awards.
Phil has had the pleasure of working with many great artists and filmmakers and continues his pursuit of excellence today. He serves as Treasurer for IATSE Local 695, on the Board of Directors of the Cinema Audio Society and on the Television Academy Sound Mixing Peer Group Executive Committee.
