Television Academy Foundation internships are designed to give qualified full-time students (undergraduate and graduate) pursuing degrees at colleges and universities in the United States in-depth exposure to professional television production, techniques and practices. Students who have completed college or graduate school prior to December 31, 2007 ARE NOT eligible. Seniors who are graduating in 2008 ARE eligible to apply.
Administrative and/or production duties will be assigned to all interns, however, collective bargaining agreements within the industry preclude some internships from "hands-on" experience in certain areas.
*ALL POSITIONS ARE FULL-TIME FOR 6 TO 8 WEEKS.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation pays a $4,000 stipend to each intern accepted into the program, which will be allocated every two weeks. Applicable payroll deductions are made from payments. Interns will be responsible for their own housing, transportation, and living expenses.
All Television Academy Foundation internships are located in the Los Angeles area. Interns must have a car for transportation. In most cases, it is not possible to rent a car without incurring a surcharge if you are under the age of 25. In all cases, a major credit card is required for rental.
*The Foundation reserves the right to refuse placement in any category at any time.

Television Academy members will select finalists for each internship at the end of April. All finalists will then be asked to submit a videotaped interview on 1/2" VHS or DVD in response to questions posed in the notice of final candidacy.
Winners will be notified in late May into mid-June, based on the host companies’ production schedules. Most, but not all, internships start in late June or mid July. Once you are notified as a winner, you and your host will determine your exact start date. The Music and Live Event Production categories usually start in late July to early August. All internships end six to eight weeks after the start date.
If you have questions or need further information, please contact the Education Department at (818) 754-2800.
